
Personal
Dr. Carthen has been a member of the House of the Lord for over a decade. He is married to Mrs. Jamesena Carthen and they have three beautiful daughters.
Prior to his pastoral ordination and appointment as director of C.O.R.E, Dr. Carthen served over ten years in ministry and fifteen years in both the public and private sectors of Leadership & Business Management, specifically with the National Football League’s Player’s Association, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in Northeast, Ohio.
As an author, visionary, and scholar, Dr. Carthen is a distinguished Fellow in the Beta Phi academic literary society and has researched and published in the areas of Positive Psychology, Emotional Behavior , Follower Performance in the workplace, and Leadership & Business Management in the ecology of sports. Dr. Carthen also serves on the faculty of Bethel University and previously with Malone University in the areas of Management and Leadership studies. Dr. Carthen is a highly sought after international speaker in areas of faith, leadership and business, he has traveled extensively in Europe visiting over 13 countries while conducting research.
He received his Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University, his Master’s degree from Malone University, his B.A. from Ohio University and received his Business Management certification from the Harvard Business School. As a former professional football player with the New England Patriots, Dr. Carthen continues to be instrumental in the area of sports and leadership. Finally, and most importantly Dr. Carthen has a heart for the Lord and a desire to harness the impact of a saving knowledge of faith in Christ with solid biblical teaching and God orchestrated relationships.
